Good Evening and Welcome to my Atlantic Adventure 😊
After a rather damp, but uneventful drive up to Raleigh from Hatteras, I parked Jake up and checked in for my flight.
RDU airport hasn't changed much in the 3 years since I last flew from here, although a couple of the stores and restaurants had changed, including one rather interesting addition - "The Virtual Food Hall". You choose where you'd like to order from either online or at one of the screens - then simply peruse the menu options, pick what you'd like to eat and drink, and you can either pick your order up at the special food lockers.....or have your food delivered to your departure gate - pizzas, wings, burgers etc. it was pretty impressive!
Before I knew it we were boarding.....and I'm now sitting comfortably with my trusty journal, fleece blankie, and a nice glass of red wine 😉
Next time I speak with you, I'll be on the other side of the Atlantic!
