'Twas the night before Christmas, in Hatteras....๐ ....and one more sleep 'til Christmas ๐
Well, let's start with the morning before Christmas first.....here's how my day started -
An incredible Christmas Eve Dawn
A Christmas Eve Treat - Homemade Scottish Shortbread (my Grandma's recipe ๐), along with my early morning hot chocolate....it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ๐
Pelicans Soaring...and an incredible sunrise
All is calm, All is Bright...
Then...Back to the Inn for breakfast with JB, Bailey, Bodie and Pumpkin
A trip to Avon for some last minute shopping...then a few stops on my way back ๐
The Pamlico Sound wasn't quite as calm as this morning's ocean...but so beautiful
Christmas Eve at Cape Hatteras Lighthouse
No, it's not snow blowing across the road....it's sand - This is one of my most favorite parts of NC12...the road into Hatteras Village, with the Sound to my right, and my Atlantic Ocean to my left ๐ฅฐ
Now, it really is the "night" before Christmas ๐...Sunset at the back of the inn
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there ๐
And quite soon....it will be upstairs to....be nestled all snug in our beds๐ด
while visions of sugar plums dance in our heads....๐
โHappy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!โ ๐ ๐
Until Next Time,
Take care, Stay Safe......and Happy Christmas Eve!
Love and Hugs,
Pam
