Just a quickie today...😊

Although it was rather chilly yesterday, the sun was out, and many of us lined NC12 to watch the Hatteras Christmas Parade - which was wonderful.....I love living in Hatteras 💗

This morning, when I stepped out of the door, in the early hours before sunrise, I was braced for a biting wind like yesterday's.... but, I was pleasantly surprised by a much warmer morning.

As the sun doesn't appear until 7am in December, I get to spend more time on my beach in that magical hour before the sun rises.....I love this time of day, it's like the world is suspended for a little while, as I breathe in the promise of a new day.

Sitting on the beach just watching the incredible scene before me, I was absolutely delighted when a pod of dolphins decided to play in the surf just off the shore. As it was before the sun was completely up, it was difficult for me to capture them on my phone, but I did manage to get this one of them frolicking in the surf....Apologies, it's a little blurry - but I just had to share it with you, it looked like they were having a chat 😊

I'll be back tomorrow with my normal blog, at my usual time 🥰
