Pam's Daily Wave...

Good Morning and Welcome to a rather chilly Sunday

(winter may just have arrived here in Hatteras) 😊

As I watched the morning waves, someone arrived further along the beach to fish, and it occurred to me that we all celebrate early mornings in our own ways.

For me, being on the beach (regardless of the weather or time of year), with a coffee and my trusty journal, create my perfect way to begin the day. For others..... some sunrise fishing, searching for beautiful shells, or a healthy jog along the shoreline, is their way of welcoming the new day. The one thing we all have in common is that we are "Sunrise People"...💗

When you're on the beach super early in the morning, often it's still dark and you can't see people's faces clearly - but it doesn't matter - as we pass each other, we wave....

a shared acknowledgement of this precious and beautiful moment in the day. Such a special moment, no pretentions, no-one trying to impress or judge you......just an acceptance that you too, love this incredible time of day.

I'm going to get a little idealistic just for a moment, so please bear with me...

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could take this philosophy into the rest of our day....

to acknowledge each other, without pretentions or judging, regardless of our looks, opinions or choice of lifestyle - just an acceptance that we all are trying to live our best lives. I know this may be a hugely unrealistic expectation.....but couldn't we all just make the effort to start in a small way - By trying to suspend that initial judgmental thought that often jumps into the forefront of our minds, when meeting someone for the first time.

Instead remember that this person is trying to live their best lives too....and a smile or a word of thanks, can make their day a little brighter....and your heart will be happier too 💗

For now, I'm off to enjoy my Sunday.....

Again I'll embrace the change - Yesterday was shorts and T-shirt on the beach...

Today...it's my trusty Uggs and a sweatshirt (although it's sunny, so I may stay with shorts, not ready for long pants just yet 😉)

Until next time,

Take care, Stay Safe and Smile....we are all trying to live our best lives 💗

Hugs,

Pam
