Pam's Daily Wave...

Good Morning and Welcome to Thursday from my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊

Well it's a bit of a stormy day with higher winds and some rain.....but this didn't stop me walking on my beach this morning. With the wind blowing through my hair, I watched as mighty waves crashed on the shore...a stark contrast from the weekend's sunnier, warm weather. As I mention often though, as a child of the ocean, I love and appreciate the beauty of the beach regardless of the weather 💗

I sometimes wonder if people get bored looking at pictures taken over time, of the same location...?

For me, I'm intrigued by the multitude of different ways the same scene can look, every

one unique in its own, often subtle way. There are so many factors that have an effect on how a scene looks - time of day, the way light hits objects, the season, the weather, wildlife, people, your mood, perspective and so on.

As I've discussed in previous blogs, no one moment in time is completely reproducible, an event will never happen in exactly the same way ever again......

Which is why I find it important to be "present" with whatever "scene" I'm currently in - To engage my senses....and appreciate my world, and my place in it.

With this in mind, I wanted to share this beautiful poem written by Ralph Waldo Emerson, that I was thinking about earlier, and truly echoes my thoughts for you this morning:

This is my wish for you

"Comfort on difficult days,

Smiles when sadness intrudes,

Rainbows to follow the clouds,

Laughter to kiss your lips,

Sunsets to warm your heart,

Hugs when spirits sag,

Beauty for your eyes to see,

Friendships to brighten your being,

Faith so that you can believe,

Confidence for when you doubt,

Courage to know yourself,

Patience to accept the truth,

Love to complete your life.”

Until Next Time...

Take care, Stay Safe and....think about what your wish for others may be this morning💗

Love and Hugs,

Pam

PS. As the atrocities in the Ukraine continue, positive thoughts and prayers for the incredibly brave people of this country 🙏 And my continued wish for peace and safety for Ukraine
