Pam's Daily Wave...

Good Morning and Welcome to Wednesday from my Atlantic Life in Hatteras ๐Ÿ˜Š

I know I said I wouldn't post videos regularly because of the load time, but the experience I had yesterday afternoon, just had to be shared.

It's not possible to leave the hotel together when we have guests staying with us, like it is in the winter, as one of us needs to be here at all times. So last year we devised a simple routine that allows us both to enjoy our island all year round (otherwise, what would be the point in living in such a spectacular haven, if we could only enjoy it during the winter). Once we have finished serving our guests their yummy, cooked breakfast, have cleared up, and gotten our inn chores done, we take it in turn to leave the inn. JB often goes for a run on the beach, or to do some fishing, whilst I disappear for some beach-time, walking, taking photos and writing, or I head to the sound to try to improve my newbie windsurfing skills (I'm super hesitant to use the word "skills" as me flaying around in the water having fallen off my board for the umpteenth time could not, in anyone's books, be considered skillful ๐Ÿ˜).

So yesterday, once JB returned from his run, I decided to head to Ramp 49 in Jake....I found a great spot on the beach and opened up the back of the jeep to grab a beach towel and, as I turned around, I saw my beautiful dolphins swimming north. I stopped everything I was doing, and watched them glide gracefully through the water, until they disappeared in the distance. I then settled down to read my book and muse on the beauty of my view - After a while I took a stroll to the water's edge and I found the water to be surprisingly warm, so I walked in a little deeper to just above my knees (which isn't very deep at all, as I have very short legs!) and, in the distance, I spotted some dolphins swimming back in a southerly direction. I thought I might try to capture them on video, knowing that they were a little too far out to see in any detail....

What happened next was so incredibly special, I smile this morning just remembering it - Not 15ft away from me, several dolphins appeared, surfacing out of the waves before diving back below, then surfacing again.....they seemed so close it felt like I could almost reach out and touch them.... for me, this experience was nothing short of magical ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ

Although this only lasted a minute or so before the dolphins continued their journey south - the joy I felt in my heart at that moment in time, will remain with me forever.

On watching the sunrise yesterday, I had no idea what an incredible day it would turn out to be.....another little adventure in My Atlantic Life๐Ÿ’—

Here are some pics of my mini adventure on the beach:

My hope is that you feel some joy when you watch the video....and I'll definitely be posting this one to my video page later today for anyone that wants to watch it again at a later date ๐Ÿฅฐ

Until Next Time...

Take care, Stay Safe wish this morning is for you to experience a special moment of joy in your day ๐Ÿ’—

Love and Hugs,

PS. The incredibly brave people of the Ukraine remain in my thoughts and prayers ๐Ÿ™
