Good Morning and Welcome to my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊
As you know, I often begin my blogs with a picture of my Hatteras sunrise, but this morning I thought I'd share something I've been working on when I'm tired, and just feel like "doodling".
I've always been envious of people who can sketch, paint and draw.... People like my awesome friend Jeff, who can look at a photo and then create the most beautiful painting or use his wonderful imagination and translate his vision onto paper....what a gift!!!
I on the other hand, appear to be able to move words from my head onto paper, but fail miserably when it comes to graphically reproducing images from my mind onto paper, they never look anything like what I intend 🤪.
A few weeks ago, JB suggested I check out an electronic notebook he had come across online. According to the reviews it was the first electronic notebook that actually comes close to writing on paper. JB knows that one of my biggest challenges is finding the time to type up the various pieces that I've written, to post in my blog. I have countless notebooks and journals full of my musings and meanderings, some of which I would love to post, but I just don't have the time (during our busy season at the inn especially), to type them out. The most incredible thing about this particular notebook is that it can transcribe your writing into text.....even my crazy scribbles!!!!!!
So, I thought I would give it a go....and although for me it will never replace paper and my beautiful notebooks -it does indeed move my scribbles into text, that I can then check, and put into my blog 😊
What I didn't realize until I unpacked my new toy and began playing with it was, that I can also use the "pen" to draw with - you have a choice of effects: ballpoint, marker, paintbrush, highlighter and calligraphy...and once finished, you can also send the finished "picture" to your email.
Trees have always figured pretty heavily in my imagination.....it's one of the things that I really do miss from living on our horse-farm (apart from my horses obviously!). About half of the 40 acres we had was in trees, and they were simply beautiful. Over the years, JB and I had cut many trails meandering through the woods and around the little 3-acre lake, that I would ride the horses on, my four-wheeler (George)....or simply just walk....taking in the beauty of all the trees. Sometimes, I would find a spot, sit, and just watch the trees moving in the breeze.
Restless Filly Farm, where we called home before moving to Hatteras....Trees everywhere!
My boys.....💗
Roaming the trails....surrounded by trees
Like trees, we need strong roots, I like to think your core values make up your foundational root system, anchoring us in life....with nurturing and good strong roots, we can grow and flourish. I've been "doodling" trees for years and have finally got to the point where I think what I draw actually resembles a tree....no mean feat for a girl that can't draw😉. So, with my new "notebook", I began doodling.....and combining words with my drawings..... and my "Positivitree" was born.
If you have 5mins, enlarge My "Positivitree" on your screen and see how many of the word branches you can include in your day 💗
And for those that need their little "fix" of Hatteras....here you go -
Until Next Time...
Take care, Stay Safe and....why not sketch out your own "Positivitree", using your core values as the roots and the branches can represent things that are important in your life.
Love and Hugs,
Pam
PS. Still keeping the people of the Ukraine in my thoughts and prayers as the invasion of their lands continues 🙏

I love the Positivitree! I have printed it out so I can see it every day. And you absolutely can draw. Thank you for more motivation! I truly appreciate you.
Your tree is beautiful and uses so many important, thoughtful words. I have no artistic ability, but I‘m now ready to try to create my own tree. Thanks for the inspiration. 😊❤️
Your tree is wonderful! I’m going to use the imagery as you suggested And perhaps try to draw my own tree. Thank you for wonderful pictures and guidance too!
Yes yes yes to the positivity tree! YOU GO GIRL!
Love and hugs,
