Pam's Daily Wave...

Hello and Welcome to my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊

So, things are beginning to normalize at the inn....JB is back from Nebraska, and I'm now in the process of getting caught up with all the tasks that were put on the back burner whilst JB was away (including my mountain of e-mail....apologies to anyone waiting on a reply from me, I'll get back to you as soon as I can).

Yesterday, I did manage to escape to the beach for an hour or so....and it was absolutely incredible. I have learned, after many, many years of not doing so, that sometimes you just have to make a point of stepping back from your "To Do List", and to take time out for yourself to "reset" your mind and body. For a long time, I thought taking time out just for "me time" was rather a selfish thing to do....but it's truly not. By taking this time, not only does this allow for your mind and body to relax and recover - but the added bonus is you generally become a calmer, less stressed, nicer person to be around (well, that's what JB thinks....as every now and again, if I appear to be getting a tad too manic or moody, he has been known to "suggest" I take off and go get some beach time 🤗)

I do have to mention that I have a new addition to the beach gear I keep in the back of Jake....a portable hammock!!!!

Now, for those that follow my blog (or have stayed at the Atlantic Inn), you know that one of my favorite hangouts....quite literally, is my large round hammock 🥰. I have always loved hammocks - especially when there is a breeze, and they rock you gently. At the beach recently I got to thinking (yeah, my crazy little lady brain at it again....dangerous I know....😉), wouldn't it be awesome to be able to lay in a hammock on the shoreline, rocked by the gulf breeze, just listening to the ocean...and watching my Atlantic world?

Well then, it was most definitely time to do some online searching to come up with the best portable, and comfortable hammock, that wouldn't cost me a fortune to buy......and I found it!!!!

And, it's all ready for me to hang out in...😁

It takes about 2 mins to put up, and the same to take back down, it's stable, and super, super comfy.....I love it - I can either lay in it and laze, or sit up and write....what more could I ask for 😎

As it's so portable, I have even used it on the teeny, tiny deck we have off of our apartment at the inn.

Popped up on our tiny private deck....just perfect for 10mins relaxing on a busy day at the inn...

Yesterday, my ocean was the perfect color of blue/green.....it was so relaxing watching the waves roll in over the sand - I thought I'd share some pics with you 💗
