Pam's Daily Wave...

Good Morning and Welcome to Tuesday from my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊

As the warm waves crash on my Hatteras home shore

-their blue hues twinkling in the sun,

I sit in quiet contemplation, listening to the lullaby of the sea

-my thoughts drift lazily on the ocean breeze

With my mind so free

-Imagination takes flight

Soaring like a beautiful bird above the waves…

Hopes…

Dreams…

Endless Possibilities…

“You can do this” the ocean gently whispers to me

My world of Inspiration, My Atlantic Ocean….My Atlantic Life

By Pam Buchholz – My Atlantic Life

So, living in Hatteras not only soothes my restless soul - it also provides me a place as adventurous, wild, and unpredictable as I can sometimes be - A place I can truly be me....my Atlantic island home 💗

My wild and unpredictable ocean...

Early this morning, I started writing my blog, which quickly morphed into a much larger piece of writing than I had originally intended. It was such a beautifully warm morning, and I was so wrapped up in my musings and meanderings, that not only did I lose track of time....it became evident that I wouldn't be able to complete this particular piece of writing to post today, I want to spend more time exploring some of my thoughts before posting.

On thinking about the things that have changed in my life.....and some of the things that have been revitalized, and renewed, since moving to my adopted home of Hatteras Village - I've decided to write a series of posts entitled "Living in Hatteras - my island sanctuary", in which I'll speak about living in my century-old inn, which is in (what is in my mind 😉) the most naturally beautiful, wild and magical place to live, and some of the differences and similarities in my hometown of Ayr in Scotland, and my adopted hometown of Hatteras Village.

The Good (awesome/inspiring/incredible/spectacular/peaceful/natural/breath-taking/magnificent/"Atlantic Time"....I could go on 😄), the Bad (the unpredictable weather/nasty nor'easters/lengthy lines for ferry and restaurants in summer/permanent residents working long hours in summer/not always making it to the beach when I need to in summer) and even the Ugly (the threat of hurricanes/finding trash every day on the beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day/people who don't appreciate or respect the uniqueness that is Hatteras Island), of living in Hatteras.

There are Good, Bad, and Ugly in all places.....it's how we choose to deal with these that matters...🤔

So, stay tuned for tomorrow's first installment 🧾

Hopefully the AT&T fairies will live up to their promise of a new phone being delivered sometime later today or tomorrow. Until then, if you need to contact me, please just drop me an e-mail at: pam@myatlanticlife.com 💗

Until Next Time...

Take care, Stay Safe and....Can you change something bad or ugly in your life?

Love and Hugs,

Pam

PS. As Russia continues its unconscionable atrocities in Ukraine....the people of this country remain in my thoughts and prayers 🙏
