Pam's Daily Wave...

My Hatteras Sunrise...

Good Morning and Welcome to a wonderful new week from my Atlantic Life in Hatteras ๐Ÿ˜Š

I'd like to begin by thanking everyone who reached out about my blue marbles story ๐Ÿ™ - I think it is absolutely incredible to think how many people would like to give a token of their appreciation to someone.....and, I know that there are just as many, if not more, that would so appreciate receiving a token of another's love and appreciation. It's amazing how one little piece of glass can represent so much ๐Ÿ’—

I got to thinking (yes, it that crazy little lady brain again ๐Ÿ˜‰)....the blue marble is just an example of how one simple object, when coupled with a beautiful story, and then given in love and appreciation, can have such a profound effect on the 2 people involved. The giving and the receiving are equally as important, in fact the "giving" can feel even better than being on the receiving end.

So, why not be creative.....You can choose a symbolic object that is representative of something important in your life, the cheaper and more accessible the better (free would be even better), and craft your own story. Keep a little stock of whatever token you have chosen, so you may give one whenever you want to show your appreciation to someone.

Let's see how creative we can be..... I'd love to hear about Your chosen token and story....might be fun to share on my blog page!

In the past few days I have had the opportunity to spend time with some truly incredible, beautiful, and resilient people - the type of people who inspire me to be a better person, to try that little bit harder, to be even more thankful for the life I have, that every moment of every day should be lived to its fullest, that my thirst for knowledge and adventure will never be quenched, and that that is okay....๐Ÿ˜Š

From a very early age, I chose to be an adventurer and to live and love life, I didn't realize until I was much older, that I had made that conscious decision, I thought that was the way everyone lived their life. But through the years, I have learned that this is just not the case....that many people merely "exist" - they go through their life wearing blinders, not wanting to see some of the nastier things that happen in life, thinking if they choose not to see it, it isn't there, and therefore won't happen to them.

Those blinkers are truly the saddest thing....not only do you not gain an understanding of other's struggles and pain and how this can be overcome.....but (and it's a huge BUT!!!!), those same blinders that you choose to wear, will also prevent you from seeing all of the beauty and inspiration that surrounds You each and every day!

Me contemplating all the adventures I was going to have....๐Ÿฅฐ

So again, I have been reminded why I chose to live my life the way I do....Why I choose adventure, empathy and inspiration, over a self-imposed cocoon of safety, which albeit may have protected me from some of my hurtful experiences but, would also have prevented me from living my life to the very fullest I can.

Have I made mistakes, errors in judgement, poor choices along the way.....absolutely (just ask my Mom....๐Ÿ˜„), but I wouldn't change a thing, I am the person I am, not only from the benefits of my adventurous life - like being married to my incredible husband JB, having the opportunity of living beside my beautiful Atlantic ocean, and meeting some of the absolute best people ever.....I have also been honed into the person I am by living through my challenges....and, as I have mentioned before - I want to Live a Life I Love....and Love the Life I Live.....it won't just happen, I need to continue to choose to make it happen ๐Ÿฅฐ

Until Next Time...

Take care, Stay Safe and....why not spend a little time thinking about what Your token of appreciation can be?

Love and Hugs,

Pam

PS. Speaking of resilient people, my thoughts and prayers continue to be with the brave people of Ukraine ๐Ÿ™
