Good Morning and Welcome to Sunday from my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊
(Lots of pics on blog)
On Friday, although we had our first guests of the season and were super busy, I managed to sneak away to my beach to watch the sunrise (thanks to JB for continuing the breakfast prep in my absence 💖). As we get busier at the inn, it's not always easy to get down to watch the sunrise, and often it's later in the day before I can spend time at my beach.

My spectacular Atlantic Ocean
It was quite a spectacular sunrise, and after capturing a few pics, I decided that I just had to sit on the sand, and immerse myself in this beautiful experience.......The birds soaring in the increasingly blue sky, the sun beginning to warm my face.....and the incredible sounds of the ocean waves as they crashed on the beach - it was just all too beautiful not to capture on video and share.
As I listened to the hypnotic sound of the waves and breathed in the pure ocean air.... my mind was transported to a place of complete serenity and oneness with nature. Although I was only at the beach for a short time, it was plenty of "wonderfulness" to set me up for the day. A place I could return to in my head at a later time, if my day becomes stressful - I can close my eyes, visualize those soaring birds... and remember the sound of the ocean waves.... take a big breath.... and once again I can be in my calm space.

And the moon stayed up to greet the sun 🌙🌞

Sometimes when I'm sad, worried or stressed - I need a little reminder to help calm and soothe me, and that's where the videos I've taken, and stored on my phone are particularly useful. I can pop in my airbuds - listen to the sounds of the ocean and see the sights of that beautiful moment captured in time......a little "me time" escape in the middle of a chaotic day (or as chaotic as it gets for an inn owner in Hatteras 😉) ....and, my world returns to serenity 💗

Simply beautiful...

Last look over my shoulder...

It's wonderful to see cars at the inn again 😊
Now, posting the occasional video on Facebook is fine, but with the sometimes slow speed of the internet down here, it can take much too long to do this often....I would like these videos to be available to others who may be seeking a little calmness in their day, so, I've decided to add a page to my website: www.myatlanticlife.com which will be dedicated to videos of beauty that I capture, with a brief description detailing the contents of each particular video, so you may choose which one "speaks" to you.
I thought it would also be cool to use this space to post voice recordings with video slideshows of my blogs, just in case anyone wants to hear my stories in my own demented Scottish pixie voice (as JB so politely calls my accent ), and I'd love to post any videos that others have taken and would like to share in this space posted - the intention being to have a "go to" place of beautiful sights and sound.....a rich library that anyone can access when they feel the need for some calmness, beauty or inspiration in their day.
I hope to start building this page this week 💗

Until Next Time...
Take care, Stay Safe and....find some beauty in your day - you deserve it 💗
Love and Hugs,
Pam
PS. As the war continues in Ukraine, I'm keeping their incredibly brave people in my thoughts and prayers 🙏
