Good Morning and Welcome to the Weekend from my Atlantic Life in Hatteras 😊
And what a beautiful morning it is.....🌞
Another day....another weather pattern!!
So, yesterday's 70 degrees is gone, along with the wind and the rain that accompanied it, and today we are blissfully sunny with a cooler high of 54 degrees....a little chillier, but a stunning day 😎
The storm yesterday brought some wild surf, so on our way back from Avon, we stopped off at the Old Cape Hatteras Lighthouse beach. It was super windy and most definitely blew the cobwebs away from my "crazy little lady brain"!
I did manage to get some cool pics....
NC12 into Hatteras...
Old Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Beach
The old Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Marker (where the lighthouse used to be before being moved 2,900 feet in 23 days in 1999) in the foreground and new location in the background.
Today, I'm planning some yard work with JB, and then I'm going to "hang out" in one of my fave outdoor spaces....my giant round hammock!!! I bought this weird looking structure when we had the horsefarm and it is one of my better financial splurges from back then.
I absolutely love laying on my hammock and feeling the wind rock me gently around, it is so completely relaxing....and a wonderful way to spend an hour or so writing and just chilling out 🥰 (I have also been known to take a blanket out at night, lay in my hammock and watch the stars ✨🌌 - what's wrong with a little indulgence 😉).
My Circular Hammock 😎
That's all from me this morning, I want to get started on the work on the inn's grounds....I really want to have a veggie garden. I had tubs last year with tomatoes, peppers etc., but want to grow lots more, so some raised beds at the back off the inn, will be ideal. JB has been working super hard clearing the space (don't you just love this man.....not only handsome and super intelligent - but awesome at landscaping and construction too)......I knew 3rd time (marriage that is 😁) would be a charm!!!
Wishing you an incredibly fantastic weekend, whatever you are doing!
Until Next Time...
Take care, Stay Safe and....please take a little time out for yourself...find "your space" - You deserve it 💗
Love and Hugs,
Pam

Love your backyard and the hammock. I would live right there - salt air smell, sound of the ocean, short stroll to your ocean, wonderful husband - what more could anyone want!?!?!
I will have to take the grandsons to see where the lighthouse used Tonawanda. We watched the movie they did about moving it when we were down there last year and always visit the lighthouse but we have never gone to the original.spot. On my list!
